Pay Me in Ticks (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Pay Me in Ticks mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By creating an account and using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.


2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your email address and full name. This information is used to identify your account, personalize your experience, and send you service-related communications.

Payment Information

Subscription and one-time purchase payments are processed by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your card number, CVV, or full billing details. Stripe handles all payment data under their own Privacy Policy. We retain only the outcome of a transaction (e.g., which membership tier you purchased) to manage your access.

Chat Messages

Community chat is powered by Stream Chat. Messages you send in any channel are stored by Stream and governed by their Privacy Policy. We may access message content to enforce our community guidelines.

Push Notification Tokens

If you grant notification permission, we store a device push token to send you reminders about scheduled live sessions and other app updates. You can revoke notification permission at any time in your device settings.

Reading Progress

We record which book chapters you have marked as read so your progress is preserved across devices.

AI Chat Interactions

When you use the AI Coach feature, the messages you send are transmitted to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate responses. We do not permanently store your AI conversation history on our servers after the session ends. Anthropic may retain and process your messages according to their Privacy Policy. Do not share sensitive personal or financial information in AI chat sessions.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage information such as which features you access and when, in order to improve the App. This data is aggregated and not linked to personally identifiable information wherever possible.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (for example, Stripe transaction records).

AI conversation messages are not retained on our servers beyond the duration of a single session.

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed credentials, and role-based access controls to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes, we will provide notice through the App or by email.
